Deidara was born in a small village tucked away somewhere in Japan. His history is actually all but fancy. His family was very poor. His mother was an alcoholic, and his father was abusive. Ever sense he could walk Deidara had a fascination with clay, and modeling; always outside playing with mud, digging with clay, and making sculptures away from the fighting. Deidara had learned the hard way to fend for himself, and quickly learned how to live on his own as well. Yet he was still a gentle boy. Very in tune with nature, inquisitive, outgoing, and bright. When it came time for him to go to school he soon learned that he was one of those kids who were strangely out of place. His clothing was old and raggedy, and he often smelled of mud, booze, cigarettes, and junk. The boy was constantly being teased for something, or another. However they soon found out the young artist had bite.
By the time he got to middle school his father had left, and his mother had resorted to prostitution. She had become bitter, and emotionally unstable. Deidara and her fought none stop, and often he was forced to rent out cheap hotels and taverns for himself. She had upped from alcohol to hard drugs, and their cheap little house was becoming something a kin to a whore/crack factory. Nonetheless Deidara still loved his mother, and struggled to help her in any way he could. However as he grew older her influence slowly took effect on him. He began dressing more provocative, and strange. His hair grown out, wild clothing, and an attitude to go with it. Deidara began drinking at the age of twelve, smoking at the age of thirteen, and got involved in criminal activities as well. His life had been on the line many times, but he never looked back nor ever showed fear, and when fear came Deidara embraced it. This was the very thing that cost him his eye. In a very lucrative business proposal Deidara managed to intimidate, and threaten the boss of the organization interviewing him. They touchered him mercilessly and managed to take out his one eye before Deidara had the ability to escape. [of course leaving the place in rubble afterwards and no survivors].
Needless to say this would be the very thing that would make him into an artist: insanity. The boy became known for his wild behaviors, edgy artistic ideals, and insane [some even dangerous] art. His motto: art is but a fleeting moment of beauty. One second its there, and the next it is gone, and he began living his life in this way. He soon learned the rush of living in the moment, and of course not for one second overlooking his art; had found a way to make his sculptures more.. thrilling. This being done by putting explosives inside the clay. The genius grew, it wasn't enough. Not only had he done this, but he had also got into the mechanics of art. For added effect he learned to build quick motorized skeletons and sculpting unfired clay over it gave them life. He almost stirred an artistic revolution. Putting together old sculting art, modernizing it, and making it into a performance theatrical experience. Not long after these crazy tactics caught the attention of an elite ring of criminals known as the Akatsuki claiming they needed someone like him. Deidara being the person he was declined at first snobbishly brushing them off without a thread of fear. It became evident however that the artist had no choice in the matter, and was set against one of their more strong members saying if Deidara lost than he would join Akatsuki. Of course he did indeed loose and the blond is involved with the Akatsuki till this very day. (also holding a grudge against the one whom he lost against: none other than the elder Uchiha Prodigy Itachi.) However his genius caught the attention of someone else as well. None other than the WRU.
Seeing the extreme potential in the Academy, alongside other projects he took the offer and moved to the small town of White Ridge. It was only convenience that the Akatsuki's new motives were also in America.
